The Research Support Programme (RSP) is a three-year programme designed to assist graduate research students with their research and to provide them with support over the duration of their candidature in the Faculty of Law. Broadly stated, the aim of the first year is to help students develop some of the skills that are necessary to complete a research higher degree, to assist them with developing a good approach to and timetable for research, and to provide them with a chance to get to know other RHD students and members of the faculty. Participation in the Research Support Programme is compulsory in the first full research year for all graduate research students commencing from 2006.
In the second year, the focus will shift to research theories and methodologies, as well as writing skills. In the final year there will be a chance for students to present their work at the twice yearly RHD Colloquium.
